Back for another year: Redmond Lights returns

The free, month-long arts and lights experience will run from December 1 through January 4, 2023.

The celebration of Redmond’s diverse winter traditions through art and light, Redmond Lights, is returning for another year at Downtown Park.

The free, month-long arts and lights experience will run from December 1 through January 4, 2023, and will showcase various light features and temporary public art.

“This year’s Redmond Lights experience continues to give our community the opportunity to gather in celebration of our diverse cultures and traditions,” said Mayor Angela Birney. “I am excited for us to come together to enjoy this year’s artwork and take part in all of the fun-filled festivities.”

In addition to the art and light installations, Friday Night Celebrations will take place from 6-9 p.m. on December 2, 9 and 16, and will feature live entertainment, booths, activities and local food vendors. A one time Kids Light Promenade event will be held on December 2 only.

On December 3, OneRedmond, which is Redmond’s Chamber of Commerce, will hold its first International Winter Market at Redmond Lights, which will feature local vendors from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

No ticketing or registration is required to attend the events. Redmond residents will also have the opportunity to participate in the resident lighting contest; a business window decorating contest; and a kid’s coloring contest in partnership with Redmond Town Center.
