Marcia Mae (Ford) Salley died May 15, 2009 in Everett, WA. Marcia was born May 29, 1950 in Wenatchee, WA to Maurice F. Salley and Helen France Salley. She attended schools in East Wenatchee until 1962 when her family moved to Bellevue, WA where she attended Eastgate and Newport schools. In 1967 she married Mike Ford, soon moving to Redmond, WA, living there for 15+ years and raising sons David and Sean Ford. Per her alias “Ms. Fixit” (she could fix ANYTHING), she taught her sons the value of “gum and a paperclip”. In Redmond she also began a career as a seamstress spanning 30 years.Marcia moved to Marysville, WA in 1985, working at Bayliner for several years. She was a familiar face while waitressing at eateries from Everett to Arlington, WA, including Don’s Restaurant and the Flapjack. She maintained her Marysville apartment until her death following an extended illness.Marcia leaves behind sons David Ford (Tammi), of Minnesota and Sean Ford, of Everett; mother, Helen France Salley Behrend; sisters, Chris Anderson, Terri Chapman and Bobbi Salley Pelroy (Steve); niece, Corey Rose; six grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.Marcia was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Salley; stepfather, Robert Behrend; and niece, Mamie Rose.A memorial service was held May 29, 2009 (her birthday) in Wenatchee, WA.
