RANDALL MALCOM BELT

Randall Malcom Belt, 70, of Bandera, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2017 at his ranch in Bandera, Texas, surrounded by the animals he adored, several friends, and his loving wife Celia.

A celebration of his life will take place at the Bandera Baptist Church in Bandera, TX – Saturday, January 6th at 2 pm.

Randy was born in San Diego, CA, to Mr. & Mrs. Belt on November 29, 1947. He married his wife Celia in 2009. He grew up and attended school in San Diego, CA.

Randy worked in the construction business for nearly 50 years, and most recently he served as Senior Project Superintendent for Turner Construction. He was highly respected in his field and recognized for his dedication to his work and clients. Randy worked on projects in various countries for many global companies including Microsoft, Compass BBVA & Intel. He was known for his strong work ethic, and his deep belief in fairness and integrity.

Randy loved traveling, hunting and scuba diving. He also competed in clay target shooting for many years; a sport he received multiple local and state awards for.

When he was not working he loved spending time with his wife, family, and animals at their ranch in Bandera, TX.

Randy was also passionate about helping people, and along with his beloved wife Celia, he dedicated his time and resources for nearly 10 years to supporting the Moonlight Fund Inc.; a Texas based non-profit organization that provides support to burn survivors and their families across the U.S. Although Randy cared deeply for all those afflicted with these life changing injuries, he had a particular soft spot for the military members served by the fund, taking them hunting & fishing, hosting retreats or simply spending time on the back porch listening and offering comfort.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. Belt. He is survived by his adoring soulmate & wife, Celia Belt, stepchildren Justin Buckler, Jarred Buckler, and Hillary Swindell, his sister Lola Matrraya, his nephew Dylan Fortier, and numerous cousins.
