With a 59-49 victory over Cedar Park Christian on Feb. 22, the Bear Creek boys basketball team advances to the regionals portion of the 1A state tournament.

The Grizzlies will play La Center at 6 p.m. this Saturday at Battle Ground High with the winner qualifying for the Hardwood Classic on March 4-7 at the Yakima Valley Sundome. The loser is out.

Against Cedar Park in the bi-district tournament, Bear Creek’s Jace Blankenbeckler had 14 points and seven rebounds, Travis Roth had eight points and nine rebounds and Nathan Shields had six rebounds.

Bear Creek sports a 14-10 overall record this season.
